Blurb/Shorttext:

If I were asked what this „TALENTLESS“ photobook is about and what my motivation was for putting these hundreds of images together, I would say, that for me, photography is a silent discussion with everyone all the time. A non-verbal and ongoing communication of who you are. Hence, I’ve never been the role model of a typical photographer. I can’t say I’m very nurturing to my photography. I use it and abuse it and only feed it when utterly depleted. I did not get my first camera at the ultimate young age of six and never been the kid with the camera ready ever since. I can go weeks and even month without touching a camera privately. But then comes this certain moment when I am overwhelmed by inspiration and have to give in to it. My favorite sources of inspiration come from my surroundings. I’m a huge voyeur and love watching people, how they act and interact and showcase themself. I think photography (and creativity in a broader meaning) should always be an outcome of your socialization, of your „natural habitat“ - the city where you live, the cultures you belong to and the people you’re listen to. When photography is just about status, about followers and likes it can feel ugly and random, but when it is a genuine reflection of your character it’s powerful and unique. Applied to the book title this means „TALENTLESS“ is a creative procedure, a pattern and symbolism - not in the meaning of „devoid of talent“ but in the sense of creativity that is going against the conventions of what it means to be talented.
