Title: FAMILIAR UNKNOWNS

Blurb/Shorttext: To prepare this book I plunged into my personal archives: slides, colour prints and especially black and white contact sheets. I had gone through them hundreds of times to find the reference of the negative which will eventually become a large format print or a scan for a publication. In this process, I regularly came across the faces of my loved ones and could measure their evolution over time, not without nostalgia in front of the relentless march of days, and years. Because we continued to share a few portions of our respective paths, it was easy for me to reconstruct the story before and after the shooting. In this book, these photos are alongside others: shots of strangers taken on the spot, in the streets of different towns or villages. Here, no common path is taken, not even a meeting; just a painless collision of two spontaneities. Several decades having passed, some will have disappeared, others will have slowed down their steps or, on the contrary, will have crossed the border of childhood.
