Title: THE NEW YORK BOOK

Subtitle: Unique pictures of a unique city

Blurb/Shorttext:

This book shows a collection of images Jochen has taken during his long-term stay in the city and his travels thereafter showing some of the multiple icons of the city in a new glance and previously unseen layout. Some of the pictures were retroactively digitized to apply his own developed CMPB-technique to give the spectator a unique color perception.

Jochen is from Düsseldorf, Germany and now lives and works in Munich. Artistic talent runs in his family, with a grandmother who was a passionate photographer and a father who worked as a marketing consultant with industry photographers. Today Jochen produces highly colorful, sometimes abstract, photo art. Capturing objects from different angles, his self-developed “CMPB technique” of changing each shot with color whilst staying true to the underlying subject is his unique art form. The pictures do not intend to tell a “story” but rather bring more vibrancy to the object itself. One is left with abstracted artworks, which leave the viewer mesmerized and deep in thought. Jochen has won multiple awards in photo challenges such as the Trierenberg Circuit, the Monochrome Awards, Fotoforum Magazine and Viewbug. He has exhibited his artworks in various galleries in Germany, New York, London, Paris, Zurich, and Hong Kong and received much praise both by art collectors and photography lovers. He is a member of the association Kunst International Stuttgart E.V., and in March 2020 he was nominated as a curator by the Asian Art Association in Singapore.
