Vertical Encounters By Roxy Hervé

Title: Vertical Encounters
Subtitle: Book One
Blurb/Shorttext:
Roxy Hervé grew up between two cultures - Europe and the USA. Her mind was always full of images, and creation was a basic need. She studied fine arts at Central St. Martin, London and started as a painter. In a warehouse community in London she began exploring photography, especially the depiction of the human body. Portraits of women naturally became her primary focus of expression. With women she felt safe and she wanted to translate these feelings in her photos. „My work deals with gender in an obvious way, but my art is about human beings, spanning its endless diversity. This book is my pictural ode to women. It would not have become a reality without the woman who played and danced in front of her“. (Roxy Hervé)
