Blurb/Shorttext:

This book is a simple photo novel made up of a hundred photos. It contains the good, the bad, the funny, the ecstatic, the pathetic, the reckless, the innocent, the selfish, the horny, the sensitive, and the anxious human conditions of the people who make their way to Berlin, where I am warmly welcomed and silently dismissed every summer. This compilation is a chance to give back what I took from them. Whenever the city starts to open up to me, my visa expires. So, I take my revenge by exposing it.

Bio:

Born and raised in Istanbul, Altay Erlik is a sensitive person. While trying to establish a life in other cities, he attempts to relieve the cramps he experiences through filmmaking and street photography. This process roughly consists of three stages. During his urban explorations, he first examines how streets connect to squares, squares to buildings, and the different compositions that emerge with the intersection of these connection points and people. He then pays attention to how people interact within these scenes and looks for something manifesting. When he finally finds what he's looking for, he gets as close as possible to the subjects, talks with them, and places them within dirty frames.
