My work emerges from a need to approach the territories of the forgotten—not as an observer from a distance, but as someone willing to inhabit their silence. Photography, for me, is a way of restoring presence to what has been displaced, of creating a space where overlooked realities can breathe and be seen.
While my practice often unfolds within documentary frameworks, I am equally drawn to the subtle poetry embedded in the everyday. Reality, in its most ordinary gestures, contains a quiet lyricism that resists spectacle. I seek that fragile threshold where testimony becomes contemplation—where the image does not impose itself, but invites stillness.
My condition as an islander and as an immigrant has shaped my gaze. To belong to more than one place—and at times to none—has made me attentive to edges, to margins, to transitions. This in-between space informs the way I look at the world: with sensitivity to displacement, memory, and resilience.
Through my images, I hope to open a passage back to those universes we habitually overlook, not through confrontation, but through recognition.

Mi trabajo surge de la necesidad de acercarme al territorio de los olvidados, no como un observador distante, sino como alguien dispuesto a habitar su silencio. La fotografía, para mí, es una forma de restituir presencia a aquello que ha sido desplazado, de crear un espacio donde las realidades ignoradas puedan respirar y ser vistas.
Aunque mi práctica suele desarrollarse dentro de marcos documentales, también me atrae la sutil poesía que habita en lo cotidiano. La realidad, en sus gestos más ordinarios, contiene un lirismo silencioso que rehúye el espectáculo. Busco ese umbral frágil donde el testimonio se transforma en contemplación, donde la imagen no se impone, sino que invita a la quietud.
Mi condición de isleño y de inmigrante ha moldeado mi mirada. Pertenecer a más de un lugar —y en ocasiones a ninguno— me ha vuelto atento a los bordes, a los márgenes, a las transiciones. Ese espacio intermedio ha formado mi manera de mirar el mundo: con sensibilidad hacia el desplazamiento, la memoria y la resiliencia. 
A través de mis imágenes, espero abrir un pasaje de regreso hacia esos universos que solemos pasar por alto, no desde la confrontación, sino desde el reconocimiento.
